The river Nile is the longest river in the world, a source of life and current of change. In Mugran, Khartoum, the Blue Nile meets the White Nile and flows north to the sea. Niles meet, cultures from Northern and Eastern Africa meet, stories meet and wait to be told.

Together the Sudanese Photographers Group and the Goethe-Institut Sudan strive to create a platform for exchange and dialogue of young emerging photography with the MUGRAN Foto Project. While the MUGRAN Foto Academy strengthens and builds capacities of young photographers from the region, the MUGRAN Foto Week aims to engage the photography scene as well as the public in travelling along those Niles, along those stories and photographic narratives.
