"Lift up your head"

Puppa LËK SÈN is a touching, strong and free man, known for breaking taboos in order to establish respect.

When he went back to his native village Ngor, he would only widespread nothing else but the reality of what he had seen in Europe.

Moved by his experience, Puppa LËK SÈN steps in into the stage like a lion, in order to make an appeal to consciousness!

In this title "Lift up your head", he encourages his brothers and sisters in Africa to preserve their dignity, "to loose their chains" which have become so familiar, to be proud of their values…

This single marks the return to roots, enriched by the Jamaican Sound System culture, to which he is very close.

Puppa LËK SÈN comes from hip hop, he was revealed by RFI in 2007 with his band "SSK"; since then his inspirations have been sailing between reggae, world music, African blues and urban music. Eight years after his departure from Senegal, he proposes a 100% hip hop track, written in Jamaican language to pay tribute to Marcus Garvey and to Jamaican people, respectful of their African origins.

✖ The CLIP was recorded in Ngor (Senegal) : on line on Tuesday 5 May 2015 !

Same as for his "Hope Inna Afreeka" (1 Album for 1 School), and to reinforce his words, Puppa LËK SÈN goes to Senegal with "Lift up your head" to celebrate the creation of "Ngor Island Records". This is a label developed in Ngor to encourage local production of artists coming from Hip Hop, Rap, Reggae, World…

Song entirely composed and made by Puppa LËK SÈN.

Production, Realization, Copyright by NGOR ISLAND RECORDS & JAHSEN CREATION.
