Superstar Oliver Mtukudzi will on Saturday October 4, 2014 release his 62nd album titled 'Mukombe we Mvura' at the Harare International Conference Centre. He explains how the album got its name.

"The title of the album is derived from song number 9, titled 'Munhikwi' where one of the lines in the song is, "Aita munhikwi, mupe mukombe wemvura (He/she is hiccupping, give him/her a calabash of water)."

"What I'm saying here is that a lot of problems seem really difficult, but if you take time to think about them and consult, you will realise they are just hiccups," said Samanyanga.

The album comprises ten tracks which all have various themes but all focus on life lessons that Tuku has learnt over the past six decades.

Some of the titles of the songs include 'Zvineita Tikudzwe', 'Hoche-koche', 'Kamburumbunde', 'Dzinga Hwema', 'Kumba Manyowa', 'Munhikwi' and 'Feso.'

When asked how he has managed to create so much music, Tuku said, "I think as long as there are people, there is always something to talk about and if there's something to talk about, there's something to sing about."

" So much of passing on messages has something to do with the people. The purpose of song is to give life and hope to the people, to heal the broken heart, to entertain, to educate, there is a lot to talk about," continued Tuku.

Tuku's last album 'Sarawoga', which means to be left alone, was released in 2012, the album has a personal bearing on him as it was his first offering after losing his son Sam, in 2010

Tickets for the album release show will be available at the Harare International Conference Centre from Saturday morning for just $5.
