AfroDutch PaperStone makes unique natural vases, bowls, lampshades, jewelry and decorations in Kenya.

AfroDutch PaperStone is a material that is made by hand out of old newspaper, water and Kenyan soil or coffee/tearesidue.
When coffee residue is used, the material is called coffeestone.
It seems heavy but it is very light. It looks fragile but it is very strong. The products are dried in the sun.

AfroDutch PaperStone is a creative collaboration between some young Kenyans and Henriëtte Oldhoff (from Holland).
Henriette is involved as a volunteer. She  invented the material and still designs the products.
She also trained the young Kenyans. One of them, Ruth Jepchirchir now owns AfroDutch PaperStone in Kenya.

AfroDutch PaperStone pays its workers a fair price.

AfroDutch PaperStone: handmade, recycling, eco-friendly, fairtrade, empowerment .
