The Coastal Films Productions was established in Feb 2009 with the aim of promoting the Kenya film industry. This not only marks a new milestone in the development of the film industry but also demonstrates the urge and concern the local film talents have for a long term development

Our Vision
To maintain Kenyans status as a major film producing center, and enhance Kenyans position as a film trading and service hub in the Africa continent and the world.

Our Mission
To create and maintain an environment conducive to the long term and healthy development of the film industry. To facilitate film production in Kenya. To promote Kenya films locally and abroad.

Our Functions
To facilitate film production and in particular location shooting in Kenya. Video Showcase

To implement a regulatory framework governing the use of pyrotechnic substances and other dangerous goods for creating special effects in film and television Programme productions and theatrical performances, including a licensing system for special effects operators.

To maintain a resource center which provides information about films produced and released in Kenya and reference materials on local film production services.

To provide support to the Kenya Film commission.

To administer the Film Development Fund to provide funding support to projects conducive to the healthy and long term development of the local film industry via Kenya Film commission.

To help the industry to organize film festivals and exhibitions in Kenya and abroad.
