Launched in 2010, Sudan Film Factory (SFF) is an independent platform which aims at reviving the film industry individuals as well as developing the infrastructure of film making in Sudan.

Sudan Film Factory is an institute serves as an umbrella for a range of activities in the field of film making, filling the current gap in Sudan and supporting a qualified training program to develop the cultural infrastructure of film making.

The Sudan Film Factory has trained more than 100 participants on different tools and production phases of film making, writing, cinematography, editing and directing.
Over 33 films from different genre were produced during the previous 3 years.

Sudan Film Factory
Filme „Made in Sudan"

In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Goethe-Institut hat die Sudan Film Factory in den Jahren 2009 bis 2012 über dreißig Teilnehmer in der Anwendung unterschiedlicher Techniken in verschiedenen Produktionsphasen - vom Drehbuch über Kameraführung und Schnitt zur Regie - geschult. Das ambitionierte Projekt der Filmfabrik Sudan bezieht die facettenreiche sudanesische Filmkultur mit ein, die bereits eine hundertjährige Geschichte verzeichnet. Wir danken jedem einzelnen unserer vielen Förderer aus Ägypten, dem Irak, Deutschland, Syrien und dem Sudan, die sich dieses Projekts angenommen haben, das einst nur eine Idee war. Durch ihre tatkräftige Unterstützung ist diese Ideen nun Wirklichkeit geworden.

Ob es um Josephina geht, die den Norden des Sudan gen Süden verlässt oder eine Gruppe von Mechanikern, die sich nachts in eine Jazzband verwandeln. Tauchen Sie in ganz unterschiedliche Welten ein, welche die Filme der Sudan Film Factory erzählen.

Die Sudan Film Factory ist ein Projekt des Goethe-Instituts Sudan mit dem Ziel, junge sudanesische Talente im Bereich Film aus- und weiterzubilden. Durch die filmische Perspektive auf Lebenswelten im Sudan werden Gedankenwelten enthüllt und Geschichten erzählt, Leidenschaft für Kino, aber auch Träumen, Hoffnungen und Frustration wird Ausdruck verliehen. Seit drei Jahren lernen junge Sudanesen in theoretischen und praktischen Workshops die Bereiche Scriptwriting, Regie, Kamera und Schnitt kennen und produzieren Filme „Made in Sudan". Entstanden ist ein Netzwerk, ein Ort des Films, eine echte Filmfabrik.
