Uganda Community Libraries Association (UgCLA) is a networking organization for community libraries in Uganda. It was registered as an NGO in 2007 and currently organizes more than 100 libraries, and more than 20 of them were founded because of UgCLA's existence.
UgCLA's mission is to complement the Ugandan education system by promoting literacy through the growth of community libraries. UgCLA also co-operates with national and international organizations.
UgCLA holds conferences and workshops for librarians, solicits and distributes grants from donors, places foreign volunteers in libraries and supports research on community libraries. Between 2007 and 2012, 47 libraries received grants through through UgCLA and 9 libraries hosted one or more volunteers.
