Nemoney is a local artist from Lautoka, Fiji. He focuses his music on Hip Hop / Reggae / RnB.
His love for poetry while living in a city steeped in history was the genesis of a dream that became reality thousands of miles and lifetimes away in the sleepy Sugar City of Lautoka.
Nemoney a.k.a. Nemani Borando is a rising hip-hop star with a difference. He is pursuing his musical dream while holding down a career as a graphic artist and being a committed family man. The boy from Waiyavi who now lives in Simla with his wife Monica and daughter, Victoria, is fast making a name for himself on the local music scene with a distinctive sound and style.
This lyrical twister, while remaining true to the hip-hop ethos with pioneers Sammy G and Mr Grin on How We Split It, also ventures out and experiments with Euro-dance on She's The One - a tribute to his wife Monica. This is what sets Nemoney apart from other local hip-hop artists - he is not afraid of being different and adventurous with his beats.
"I get inspired by my wife and baby and spending time with my family. And I also get inspiration from everything I see and have been through. I hope that I keep getting better at what I do - this is something I aspire to. I'm keeping it real, I hope to own my own graphics company in the future and my dream is to hopefully get signed up by a major label one day," the Sugar City artist said.
