Andres Livov was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he studied opera directing at the prestigious Colon Theatre. He graduated in Fine Arts from York University in Toronto. In 2005, he attended the Berlinale Talent Campus of the 55th Berlin International Film Festival. "Welcome to Los Pereyra, his first feature documentary, has been screened at festivals in Amsterdam, Montreal, Buenos Aires, Calgary, Kiev, Havana and Santiago. His short film "Letters to the Prime Minister" is the 2015 winner of the Regard sur Montréal residency. "Language is therefore a love story" is his second feature film.
