Benta is a Kenyan actress who appeared on many of the pioneer productions in Kenya, both on television, and in the feature film arena. In many ways, she is one of the break-out actors in Kenya who introduced Kenyans to a world beneath the tinsel of foreign media. But that is if you ignore the Tausi and Vioja Mahakamani era. Wingu La Moto, in which she had a recurring role, was the first real Kenyan soap featuring warring women and the men they confuse.

Like many Kenyan actresses her career began on the theatre stage before she made the shift to television and eventually to feature presentations. She is a 2006 nominee for the Chaguo La Teenies award. She has also featured in major Hollywood productions shot in Kenya including The First Grader and The Constant Gardener.
