Bettina Ehrhardt is a journalist and television producer and director. She holds a master's degree in French Literature and also received a diploma in Cinema Art from the University of Lyon. Her films include portraits of the American percussionist Robyn Schulkowsky, the stage directors Yoshi Oida and Peter Konwitschny, and the musicians Bobby McFerrin and Chick Corea. Abbado, Nono, Pollini - A Trail on the Water won the Jury Award at the International Festival of Films on the Arts in Montreal (2002), as well as the 2001 Ernst von Siemens Foundation Prize. Her other films include the documentaries: Oslo Drumming - With Pulsation Lots of Space (1995), De Sade in Berlin - Yoshi Oida staging of'Madame de Sade'by Yukio Mishima (1997), Journey to the End of the World - Cape Horn under Sail (1998), Tristan und Isolde - Excursion to Utopia. Zubin Mehta and Peter Konwitschny reinterpret Richard Wagner's music-drama (1999), The Desert is the Garden of God - On the Trail of Charles de Foucauld in the Sahara (2001), the concert film Bobby McFerrin and the Chick Corea New Trio live at the Verbier Festival (2003), Chick Corea und Bobby McFerrin "We Play"(2004), and Electricity for the Sherpas. Modern Times on Mount Everest (2004).
