French filmmaker and Scriptwriter.

Born in July 24, 1969, in Paris (France).

A graduate of the prestigious Ecole Normale Supérieure and a philosophy teacher, Boris Lojkine wrote a PhD thesis about Crisis and History but decided to leave the academic world shortly afterwards. He put away his books and went back to Vietnam, where he had lived previously, to learn the language and look for adventure. He made two documentary films there, "Ceux qui restent" (2001) and "Les Âmes errantes" (2005), which recount, from a Vietnamese point of view, the impossible mourning of men and women whose lives have been torn apart by war. With "Hope" [2014], his first fiction film, he changes continents and immerses himself in the lives of African migrants.

بوريس لوجكين (1969) طالب سابق في "المدرسة الوطنية العليا" المعنية بتخريج باحثين وأساتذة في الشؤون الأدبية والعلمية والتكنولوجية في فرنسا. مارس مهنة تدريس الفلسفة أعواماً عديدة، في "جامعة إيكس أون بروفانس". لكن السينما جذبته إلى عالمها الوثائقي أولاً، فتحوّل إلى الإخراج، محقّقاً أفلاماً متنوّعة بعضها معنيّ بتجربته في فييتنام عندما عمل في قسم التعاون الخارجي في سفارة بلده هناك، كـ "مواقع التعاون" (2004)، أو محاولة لفهم ما آلت إليه أحوال فييتنام، اجتماعياً وإنسانياً وحياتياً، بعد ثلاثين عاماً على انتهاء حربها المدمّرة، كما في "النفوس الضّالّة
".
