Bruce Zondiwe Mbano born on 3rd July 1952, is a Lecturer by profession. He has taught English at Salima Secondary School and at Blantyre Mzuzu and Domasi Teachers' Colleges before joining the Department of Language and Communication Skills at Chancellor College. He has authored short-stories, plays and poems, some of which have been published in The Fate of Vultures - New Poetry from Africa (BBC prize-winning poetry), Heinneman and The Haunting Winds edited by Anthony Nadzombe, published by Dzuka. His poem The Viphya won second prize in the 2000 Peer Gynt Literally Award. Zondiwe was one the compilers and editotrs of Unsung Song an anthology currently read in secondary schools.
