Clifford started out in stage theatre in 1999 while still in school scripting and directing the drama club. In 2001, he co- founded Travelling Theatre Troupe in Changamwe, Mombasa where he still scripted, dircted and acted in the plays and verses. In 2006, he moved to film and Tv production after his media studies and internship at Kenya Broadcasting Coporation.

Between 2005 and 2007 he trained plays for Kenya National School Drama Festivals, taking Kimbilio Academy to the National levels in 2006 and Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa in 2007. He wrote and directed his first feature film 'Kibini Masali' in 2008 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY-W1OzHabM) and later his second film 'Kosa na Kosa' in 2010 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPS7fElSXPM). He has done contract work for NGO's and Trusts and 2013 saw him produce 'Indelibe Shadows' for Brilliance of  Hope Trust (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk_5Nut2CBY)

In tv, he has shot and edited "Mahabahaba" for Emnaz Productions which was aired in Citizen TV between 2008 and 2009. Him being head writer for the same in season 3. He was among a pool of writers in 2013 to script season 1 of "saida" now showing on Cititzen Tv.

Currently, he is editing "Arosto" for Emnaz Productions showing on K24 TV and also working on two pilots for a TV medical and Soap under his company Celestial Touch Studio.
