Barbadian fine artist, David Alleyne, has been producing dramatic pieces professionally, ever since 1992. He works in the acrylic medium and his style is realism.
Vivid colours and warm nostalgia are the marks of his work which include: landscapes, seascapes, still life, figurative, Caribbean lifestyle and more recently, house and corporate portraits.
His art may be found in offshore companies, hotels, restaurants, corporate and financial institutions and various offices around Barbados - including the collections of the former Prime Minister, Owen Arthur; and Barbados' dearly adopted knight, Sir Cliff Richards.
One of David's proud achievements is an 18 x 18 foot portrait of Barbadian National Hero, Sir Hugh Springer, which was commissioned by the government of Barbados for the first National Heroes Day in 1998.
He is also pleased to have his paintings hanging in private homes around the Caribbean and the world, such as Bermuda, United States, Canada, England, Africa, Pakistan and India.
