Mc Cyfa, real names Akera Denis Tollbert is a rapper, song writer, a poet based in Kitgum, Northern Region of Uganda. He chose to work hard and started from nowhere to somewhere. It has been a journey. Through hard work and a lot of energy put in his rap career, he is now among the most celebrated rappers in Kitgum, Northern Uganda.
He was born in 1992 in Kitgum town. He started rapping in 2008 while in senior two in St. Joseph's College Layibi, Gulu. He raps in Luo and English. He is the only rapper who represented Kitgum town in the HipHop Bootcamp 2014 in Gulu after attending the Workshop in Kitgum.
He also worked with NUHC (Northern Uganda HipHop Culture), a hiphop movement based in Kitgum. He has now created a new group also based in Kitgum called Watwero HipHop Movement. His success was a long way coming. He always lived by these word; "A champion is a strong competitor who never quits and never surrenders."
