Émilie CARPENTIER (Émilie Carpentier) is a Film Director and Screenwriter.
She is known for THE HORIZON (2021).

After a bachelor's degree in modern literature, ÉMILIE CARPENTIER trained in the profession of costume designer, which she has been practicing ever since, in the performing arts. At the same time, she wrote and directed two short fiction films flirting with the documentary, LES OMBRES QUI ME TRAVERSENT and AU LARGE. Both have won several festival awards and are broadcast on television. In 2010, she began to supervise film workshops with teenagers from the Paris region. In 2012, she joined the collective of directors Tribudom and directed several episodes of the participatory web-series DEMAIN J'LUI DIS, alongside Elsa Diringer, Sacha Wolff, Jules Zingg and Ludovic Rivalan. On the strength of these experiences, she became involved in the feature film L'HORIZON, supported by writing grants from the CNC and the Île-de-France region, by the grant from the Beaumarchais association and by the writing residencies De l'Écriture à l'Image and Atelier Grand Nord.
