Barick a.k.a "EL LOCO" (Eric Fabrice) was born on 1st April 1978 in Kigali, Rwanda.
At 7, he started listening to music and especially groovy styles In those days he was listening much to Michael Jackson.
He did his primary school in Kigali, and the 1st cycle of secondary school in the Petit Séminaire Saint-Vincent at Ndera, Kigali.
 
It is in the Ndera Seminary that he had his 1st music lessons and discovered piano and organ with the encouragement of Cyrille Mpumuriza who became his mentor during his time at Ndera Seminary.
In 1991, a pop music band was launched at the Ndera Seminary under the name of New Flying. Barick entered the band one year after. The band performed live in concerts at Ndera Seminary during the school year and in other places during summer holidays.
In 1994, Barick arrived in Portugal where he finished the 2nd cycle of the secondary school.
In 1999, he went to Belgium to do his graduate studies in biochemistry.
 
During the time in Belgium, he continued practicing music. He met again Freddy N, a former guitarist of New Flying during the days of Barick in Ndera Seminary. They restarted playing together and played for some musicians in show cases in Liege.
 
After his school in Belgium, he went back to Porto, Portugal and started compositing Hip Hop music and did some recording works in Porto studios...
 
In the summer 2003, he spent his holidays in Albufeira, Portugal, with friends, among whom, Freddy N. During those relaxing and inspiring vacations, Barick and Fred decided to create a music label to produce their own music and to offer an organizational structure to talented artists who lack musical infrastructures and organization.....
 
In 2004, he came back to Liege, Belgium to work on his music and on the launch of the music label. He continued composing music tracks for R&B and Hip Hop artists in Belgium.....
 
In 2005, he went to Japan to participate to the 2005 World Exposition in Aichi, Japan. During his stay there he met different musicians in various styles, among whom the Angolans S.S.P and O2 In the exposition he performed as DJ in parties in Nagoya.
In October 2005, he came back to Liege, Belgium to work on his music.
The music label was launched at that moment with 2 new members in the Founders team: Barroco (a.k.a Aimé) and Ron Djeep
 
The label works with artists like Ron Djeep, MC Clay, Feelings, Alko and some other talented and promising young R&B and Hip Hop artists
 
In the beginning of 2006, the label started working with new artists among whom Priss, Ymen and Marley
In July 2009, he met Legend (Derrick Davis ) CEO of Day One Productions. From there they decided to join the companies to form Day One Productions Africa/Barick Music.
 
In October 2011,he founded a music label called BMCG (Barick Music Creation Group). As producer and CEO, he signed differents artists like Benny Black, True D, Koudou, Babou, Asher Juno, Umutare Gaby...
