Passionate self-taught, Etienne Djoguian learns the audiovisual professions through social networks. Today, he is trying to make his dream of becoming a director come true and plans to set up a production company.

Becoming Disk Joker was his obsession. As a child, Etienne Djoguina dreamed of being a great Chadian DJ. But quickly, the Mandoul native aborts this dream. From now on, he wants to become a director. A crazy desire that suddenly takes him one day when he was following a Chadian film. "When you put on a Chadian film everyone gets discouraged. That's when the idea came to me.

In 2006, when he was only 13 years old, the young teenager discovered the profession of images, the audiovisual industry. From that sunny day in Koumra, Etienne Djoguina, known as Habib by his friends, started learning the audiovisual industry. He tells himself that he will "bring something new to the Chadian cinema". This is the reason that pushed him into this new adventure. At the beginning, he uses the telephone to make gags; small 2-minute videos to make people laugh. A start that interested his friends and pushed him to suggest others.

Two years later, Etienne discovered social networks. He becomes addicted by watching tutorials. The youngster ends up using social networks as a means of learning. In 2011, Etienne writes scripts in their raw state, keeping them jealously in his little school bag. "I wrote out of love, but I never thought I'd realise that one day".

In 2012, being on the school benches in the town of Koumra, Etienne directs a spot for the announcement of a party following the request of a friend. This earned him a job at the Tob community radio station in the said town. After two years at the Tob radio station, Habib moved to the Chadian capital for study reasons. He improves his knowledge in the art of shooting alongside his friends.

His first real experience begins in 2015. He begins to apply his texts, accompanied by the camera. Etienne makes gags with friends at the university campus of Toukra. "I got into the business by creating a group of friends with whom I shot short films".
One year later, the 1.75m tall young man made a 22-minute short film entitled Lorie. A film that will be broadcast in a loop by Chadian national television, which will make it popular.

"Etienne is first of all a talented, creative and ingenious young man" testifies Obie-G, an artist for whom he made a video clip.

In his room, Etienne edits the dailies. Because of the quality of his work and his serenity, he is the subject of many requests in the cultural world. Chadian artists, humorists and singers, such as Obie-G, H-ten, Browning-T call upon him to make video clips.

"Etienne is a very conscientious worker. Except that he doesn't respect appointments," says H-Ten, a rapper artist with whom Etienne has already made two video clips.

The 27 year old seduces the public with his work: Lorie, Sexual harassment, Hypocrisy in love, Pleasant surprise, Ultimate sacrifice, In the lion's den, A shitty day. It has just been released on July 11th, La roue tourne, a new 16-minute short film, already available on youtube.

Very attached to his dream of becoming a renowned director, Etienne plans to create a production company to meet the expectations of artists. Besides his passion, Etienne Djoguina is also a third year student of Communication at the University of N'Djamena.
