Teshome Gabriel is a specialist in non-western third world film. He is a prolific writer, producing both articles and essays dealing with a number of themes such as nomadism, exile, and currently his topics of interest are weaving and digital issues. Professor Gabriel has dedicated more than 25 years of his research to the Critical Studies Program in the Film and Television Department of the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a full professor and is acting Vice Chair of the Critical Studies Program.
