Born in Jordan in June 1976 and immigrated to New York City at a young age. His first feature film West Bank Brooklyn worldpremiered at the AFI Film Festival and would go on to play in many festivals such a Gen Art. Later that year, he was named by Filmmaker Magazine as one of its "25 New Faces of Independent Film". In 2010, he won the Tribeca Film Institutes "Creative Promises Award" for his screenplay "Only in New York" from Robert de Niro during his film festival. Recently, he helped co-write and co-star Hiam Abbass first feature Inheritance.
