Grace Nichols is a Guyanese poet. Nichols was born in Georgetown in Guyana. She completed a Diploma in Communications from the University of Guyana. In the past, she worked as a teacher, journalist and held positions in government information services. She currently lives in England with her partner and poet, John Agard.
