Ama G the Black is one of Rwanda's young talents. He recorded his first song a couple of years back but it didn't do much to cast him into the spotlight.

He continued to record more songs, but none of them gave him a breakout hit. But after the release of Ndamukunda, which zoomed straight onto local radio countdowns and into some of your hearts, his star began to rise steadily. Ama-G the Black, born Amani Hakizimana is a 24-year-old local rapper born in Ruturusu, Remera, Gasabo District (4th July 1990). The budding star does his thing in Kinyarwanda. One of his most popular songs is Urugendo, which also features Tuff Gang's Bull Dog among others.

His latest song, Igifu (Stomach), released a couple of weeks ago, is currently enjoying massive airplay on local radios.
The 24-year-old rapper was voted the "Best Upcoming Artiste" and "Best Hip-hop Artiste" at the Salax Awards 2013. He was also among the top 10 finalists for the fourth edition of the Primus Guma Guma Superstar talent search competition.
