Herman Basudde

Herman basudde was born in a village called Bubondo, Butenga subu country, Bukomansimbi District under greater Masaka found in Buddu, UGANDA. Buddu one of the 18 Buganda Kingdom counties is located in Masaka district in Uganda. His father was called Elia Katende Kizza from Lugave clan. Lugave is one of the 56 clans of the Baganda the largest calisthenic group in Uganda. He was raised by his two parents. His fatherwas Eriya Kiza Katende and Dimintiria Namyalo. His father was an X soldier of world war II. Little is known about his Early age.But from the trusted sources states that he studied up to primary seven but didn't sit his primary leaving examinations PLE due to either his passion to music and may be lack of funds. Mark Gastus Makumbi a radio presenter on CBS FM recalls that Herman Basudde one day sung a song called Tudaabirize omukama at afeast in there village at a catholic sub parish, it tourched many peoples hearts where the priest requested him to sing it again. from there, his song was played on Radio uganda now UBC. He gained popularity hence deciding to come to Kampala with his guitar.He recorded his first album called Mukyala Mugerwa which brought him on market He is well remembered of the Kadongo Kamu the local popular hits within Central and some parts of Uganda.
