Born in 2002 and based in Casablanca, Jamal El Gouji lives in an environment where art is scarcely present. When the opportunity arose, he chose to pursue cinema, studying at the National Higher School of Art and Design. From this experience, Shadows of Silence emerged - his first short film, created in 2024 after two years of study. The film marked his debut as a director and has since been selected by several film festivals.
Jamal's work focuses on creating imagined worlds as seen through the eyes of his generation, with a deep commitment to producing art that places humanity's needs at its core.
