Leanne Russell is a 30 year old Abaconian artist and the founder of "Bahamian Artists for AIDS".
"I am a mother, businesswoman, and humanitarian … but above all else I am an Artist. Art has always been my passion- I learned to paint before I could walk. Forgoing formal art training, I obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in marketing from St. Marys University. Despite my lack of training, creativity has been, and always will be, the constant intrinsic fibre in my life. I am a self-taught painter, working primarily in acrylic on canvas or reclaimed materials, but an inherent artist's ingenuity overflows into all aspects of my life.
