After high school, Martin auditioned for Planets Theatre where he got the chance to act with the likes of Nice Githinji . After a few months, he joined Theatrix Arts and later on Heartstrings and then Starlight Productions. After receiving his University admission letter, he had to go slow on the acting and thus left Starlight. In campus, he joined Kenyatta University Travelling Theatre.
His screen debut was an advert he did with the "Redikyulass Casting Agency" for a "Turning on Your Vote" TV commercial. Later on, he was recommended for a Noose of Gold Pilot project. It is through this that he was given a role in the show. Around the same time, he also auditioned for "XYZ" and got a role as a voice artist. Networking enabled him to get roles in the other shows that he is currently acting in: "Nairobi Law" and "Tabasamu".
Other TV shows he has appeared in include: The Agency, Noose of Gold, Nairobi Law, The XYZ Show, Tabasamu, Machachari and How to Find a Husband.
He also starred in several films including: Perfect Imperfections, Bride and Groom Plus Two and Obohozi
In addition he has also served as a scriptwriter for TV shows such as - Machachari, Mabeshte, Sumu La Penzi, Jastorina and served as a producer and director for the Kenyatta University Travelling Theater.
