Michael Tee is a young singer from Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo with an Afro-American father and an Italo-Brazzaville mother. He's very young and was nicknamed 'Michael' after his idol, Michael Jackson. He first came into contact with music when he was still a baby - his grandmother used to sing him lullabies every night to get him off to sleep. But it was as a choir boy that he acquired a rudimentary knowledge of music. When he was only 12, the war meant that he had to make a life for himself, armed with only his passion for music. It's thanks to this passion that he met the band which he would later join: Wenge Musica.

With this band he has travelled all over the world and played in the largest venues. The band even received an award from Nelson Mandela himself, recognising their nascent career. At the age of 17, but already with a "long career" behind him, Michael decided to start a solo career in France. At that time he met Lokua Kanza, who advised him (considering his tender age) to take the time to consolidate his knowledge of music. Michael then studied at a conservatoire, working together with African and European musicians. Today he knows a lot more about all different types of music (African music, gospel, blues, soul, R&B, bossa, French music, folk...). He worked on Lokua Kanza's latest album (Plus vivant) and has just finished a sampler in preparation for his forthcoming album. He likes to define his style as 'acoustic soul'.
