SHULA NDIAYE

The first steps

Revealed to the Senegalese public by Ouza in a duet: "Yaye Amy", of the album "Demb" in 1996

The choice:

The same year on June the 21st, I had to make a choice, a kind of dilemma for me, to continue my studies and relegate my passion (music) in the background.
But at the same time, in my spare time, I alongside artists of the country, to consolidate my experience while continuing my studies.
A period during which I participated as a backing vocal in albums such as: (see experience)

Shula is back :

I was fortunate to have a mother who cares about her children's education. Then I had to continue my studies.

In 2006:
I am in defense of education and achievement of girls in school.

Between 2006 and 2008:

I am an artist of the Project named "Tundu Joor ": album of awareness, which promotes the rights of children through music under the direction of Plan International, "Accents Multiple" and Nokia. Album in which I'e composed and performed a song called "Jangum Jiguéen" which is a plea on the enrollment and retention of girls in schools in Senegal and Africa.

"jangum Jiguéen":(the message)

With "jangum Jiguéen" I put a topical problem. A song through which I now find the opportunity to talk to our parents about the need to their children to school, and especially "girls".
"We must also give opportunity to education for both boys and girls, "I'm saying the good Education".

"Never forget that the family is the basic unit of any society. The school must be a continuation, an extension of that education. "

"Today, after I followed my mother's advices, I realize that I
assert myself as I feel it in my music, I'm being an singer "defending her works and ideas as much as she can. While maintaining my freedom. After my BAC, I went to the English department at the "Cheikh Anta Diop University" in Dakar; I was able to combine music and studies.
