Recording Artist /Songwriter, Model- Nekisha Cyrus (known mononymously as 'Neicy') was born onDecember 4th 1988, in San Fernando on the Caribbean island of Trinidad. Neicy is the oldest of five children to mother Diana Francis, a caterer and father Glen Cyrus, a Pannist/ Mason. Growing up in a culturally flavoured island, Neicy began listening to many different genres of music both local and international- ranging from Soca, Calypso, Reggae, Dancehall, Pop, Hip-hop and her favourite genre R&B music which led to the beginning of her musical romance at the tender age of 8 years old. Neicy recognized from an early age that she was really good at writing and rhyming, which led her to start writing poetry and this later developed into songs.
In the years that followed, she became interested in other areas of the arts and she soon began exploring these new found passions.
