Mr. Bushayija Pascal, Rwandese artist Painter, was born in 1957 at NYUNDO located in North province. Bushayija followed his heart and instead became a successful artist. After six years studying at the art school in Gisenyi, Bushayija spent the first 11 years of his career as an art professor at the same school.

In the year 2000, Bushayija worked with a Togolese artist, KOSSI ASSOUS, who encouraged him to think outside the box and stretch his horizons in his artwork. Bushayija followed his advice and began experimenting with different media. He developed his own unique style of painting, integrating three-dimensional objects and tactile materials such as tree bark and sawdust into his works.

The main subjects of Bushayija's work are his people. The love for his native country can be seen in his paintings, which typically depict Rwandans' activities in their daily lives.

Mr. BUSHAYIJA Pascal has actively participated in several art exhibitions nationally and internationally.
