Quincy Y. C. Alexander

Quincy Y. C. Alexander (born November 04, 1986) better known by his stage name Soul Major, is a Trinidadian rapper. He was introduced to hip hop music at the age of 10, when his big cousin gave him a cassette tape consisting of songs by KRS-One, Wu Tang Clan among others. Since then, he has been in love with the lyrical art form. By the time he was 14, under the moniker Killa Q, he started freestyling during lunch breaks and after school becoming increasingly skilled at the craft.

A year later, he started writing his rhymes, and in February 2002, he wrote his first song in the middle of his math book, mostly during math class. Till this day, many associate this as to the reason why he failed said class. By the time he was 18, he had recorded over 60 songs, most of which were done in the basement of his home, including the underground hit song "Froggy Boyz". This prompted many pleadings from friends and listeners, encouraging him to get in the studio and release high quality music to the mass public, but he would continuously refuse this notion mainly due to his predominantly "secretive" nature.
