Screenwriter Rhidian Brook's first film drama commission, Mr Harvey Lights A Candle (starring Timothy Spall [Vanilla Sky, Harry Potter, The Last Samurai]), was broadcast to superlative reviews on BBC1 at Easter 2005. He has written four episodes for the BBC series Silent Witness. In 2007 he was commissioned by Channel 4 to write a series for Ray Winstone - Top Shelf - based on his own idea. In 2008 he was made principle writer on the BBC series - The Bible - and he is currently writing a film called Atlantis for BBC1 and a feature - Africa United - for Footprint Films

In 2006 he broadcast a series In The Blood for BBC World Service, recording his family's journey through the AIDS pandemic and work with the Salvation Army. His book about that journey called More Than Eyes Can See was published by Marion Boyars in July 2007. That year he was also commissioned by ITV Drama to write a film based on his journey.
