MNET's Kona frontman, Robert Agengo started his professional career acting in high school set books where he travelled to many schools around the country under Jicho Four Production, headed by Jasper Odek who gave him his first role. He moved on and met Nelson Mbugua who gave him his at the Kenya National Theatre stage under Unicorn Productions. In his decade in the industry he has been contracted under various production houses namely; Heartstrings Kenya, Phoenix Players, Mbalamwezi Players and Festival of Creative Arts.
At the time he also worked as an extra in Makutano Junction. He did this for three to four years before he got my first role on the same show. He had roles on TV shows Shika Pata Potea and Krazy Kenyan. He also made an appearance in AL IS ON PRODUCTIONS film in 2006.
Agengo had his international debut on the BBC's Taking The Flak. On hot pursuit was the Danish movie Kidnappet (Lost In Africa) on which he also doubled up as casting director in 2010.
Currently, he plays 'Lucky' (a humble but tough boxer who is loyal to his coach) on MNET's Kona.
