Sory Kandia KOUYATÉ (Sory Kandia Kouyaté) is a famous singer and composer.
Born in 1933, in the small village of Manta, current Bodié sub-prefecture (city of Dalaba), more than 400 km from Conakry, the capital
Guinean. He died on December 25, 1977, returning from Coyah, 50 km from Conakry. He was 44 years old.
In 1969, he won the Cup of Honor at the Pan-African Festival of Algiers and the Medal of Honor for Labor (Guinea).
He won the Grand Prix du Disque 1970 (Charles Cros Academy, France).
