Sura Susso, virtuoso kora player, percussionist and singer songwriter is known to captivate his audience with his entrancing and infectious music. His debut album ?Sila Kang', released this summer is already receiving much critical acclaim in the arenas of both classical and world music.

Hailing from a reputable griot family in the Gambia, Sura Susso has previously worked collaboratively with his brother Seckou Keita (Quintet) for many years, as well as jazz musicians such as Eric Truffaz. He has toured worldwide performing at events such as the Montreal Jazz Festival, Glastonbury Festival and WOMAD International Music Festival.
Sura's music possesses the strength of a traditional foundation, laced with his striking experimental talent, which has afforded him a repertoire of great flexibility. His continuing drive to explore a contemporary slant to Mandinka music is expressed through a unique style with outstanding results.
