Truth born Yahya Nsenge,is a storytelling multitalented HipHop artist who started listening to American rap artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, and DMX and writing his own rhymes when he was 12-years-old. He never dreamed that he would be recording and performing in his home country of Uganda by the time he was twenty.
Yet, in December 2012, his friends encouraged him to pick up the mic at a local talent search sponsored by Radio West. He caught the attention of several local hip hop heads and began recording and performing in Mbarara town. This led to local radio stations picking up a song that he recorded with DJ Charmaigne, who by then was working at Crooze FM. 'Fly High' continues to be a local favorite.
TRUTH auditioned for another local talent search sponsored by NTV in July 2013. A fan favorite, he was selected as a winner of Talent XP in the season finale in December 2013.
He is now working with The Talanta in the capital city of Kampala to record his first mix tape, which will feature a variety of hip hop, R&B, and soul influences. He has so far released 4 songs under The Talanta.
