Wycliffe Bennett, CD, Chairman of the Ward Theatre Foundation will be Go-Jamaica's guest on Wednesday 21 May 2003 at 6pm (EST). Mr. Bennett is the driving force behind the campaign to make the Ward Theatre function as a Civic and Cultural Centre, whilst providing a home for the development and exposition of the Performing Arts for the edification of the Jamaican people.

Mr. Bennett and the other members of the Ward Theatre Foundation believe that national pride and self-respect demand that Jamaica's historic Ward Theatre be developed to fulfill the artistic and civic functions rightly expected of a National Theatre. It is therefore, necessary to restore the building, upgrade its facilities, acquire contiguous properties, clean up the environment, employ appropriate staff and place operations on a suitable footing.
