Nigerian medical doctor cum inventor, engineer, philosopher and Human rights activist.
Born as Oluyombo Adetilewa Awojobi, on March 1, 1951, in Ikorodu (Lagos State, Nigeria). He passed on in the early hours of Saturday 18th April, 2015
The iRep International Documentary Film Festival (Lagos) dedicated
its monthly film screening with the tribute screening of the film "UNCOMMON SERVICE" (2009) on Sunday 7th June 2015, at 2pm at Freedom Park, Broad Street Lagos.
The documentary film is directed by Deji Adesanya (Hilda Ogunbanjo Film Award on Good Citizenship 2009), on the unusual story of patriotism and community service by Dr. Yombo Awojobi.

Dr. Yombo Awojobi was Medical Director of Awojobi Clinic, Eruwa (Ibarapa region in Oyo State, Nigeria).
Dr Awojobi Oluyombo obtained his medical degree from the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria, in 1975 where he earned the Adeola Odutola prize for the best final-year medical student. He worked as a surgeon at the District Hospital Eruwa for three years before setting up his own rural clinic in Eruwa in 1986.

Other awards he has received include the Oyo State Merit Award for rural medical practice, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure Prize and the College of Medicine Award from the University of Ibadan for his contribution to the Ibarapa Community Health Project. In 2000, the King of Eruwa offered him the chieftaincy title of Baasegun of Eruwa.
In 2001, Awojobi was given a special award by the Pan-African Liberation International Project as a Defender of the Less Privileged while he was listed on the Marquis Who's Who Biography in Science and Engineering in 2003. He was also one of the two Nigerians listed in the World Medical Association's publication, Caring Physicians of the World in 2005.
