Salaam Kivu International Festival was originally a short digital films festival. It became a festival that aims to be an open window on the artistic production of the African Great Lakes region. It is a joint initiative of Yolé!Africa and Alkebu Film Production to promote art and culture.

Every year in October, 10 days of concerts, screenings, performances, exhibitions and workshops are held in Goma, North Kivu, in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

SKIF operates also as a platform for exchanges between professional artists and cultural operators. It aims to build capacity and raise the level of regional production and the technicality of young talents.
