Hosted and organized by IDEA AFRICA, Jambo Festival 2012 is an internationally local showcase of creative art, craft and fine art, paintings, drawings, industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, interior design, decorative art, ceramics, glass, metal, printmaking, modern visual art (photography, video and filmmaking), architecture, 3D displays, jewelry, fiber, traditional music and dances, our cultural heritage, and a colorful street carnival. Also during the festival artists and enthusiasts we will have an opportunity to participate in a symposium on arts.

Jambo Festival is not just a mere ‘festival'; the role is that of network creation; finding and matching the needs and satisfactions of art and culture as an upcoming industry in its own way.

At Jambo Festival we aim at:

Celebration of Arts, Culture and Traditions
Creating and Opening a new and different window for Culture Tourism in Tanzania
Generating direct spending on local Hotels, Businesses, Sponsors and Vendors through the main event (Jambo Arts Exhibition) and the sub events (Jambo DrumFeast, Jambo Fashion Show, Jambo Arts Symposium, Jambo Zaidi and the Jambo Street Carnival)
Boosting the local economy through employment creation during and after the festival
Raising the City/Regional Profile

This event is also to become an annual large-scale celebration of African art and culture but more important an identity peculiar to Arusha as a town. It will help to strengthen the networking among entrepreneurs, business owners, the corporate community and the general public well beyond the event dates.
