Bahaa, un médecin au cœur brisé, et Mahdy, son vieil ami, tentent d'échapper aux fantômes du passé, fuyant d'une maison abandonnée à une autre, inlassablement poursuivis par des ombres.

Bahaa, un médecin de 30 ans, reçoit un jour, dans sa clinique, la visite de Mahdy, un vieil ami qui a besoin d'aide. Il est atteint d'un étrange phénomène : de la menthe pousse sur son corps. Alaa et Mahdy sont démunis. L'odeur de la menthe attire des dangers qui les poursuivent à travers la ville en déliquescence. Ils font une succession de rencontres troublantes avec d'anciens camarades. Ceux qui étaient autrefois liés par leur croyance sont à présent séparés, sans foi et ils empestent la menthe. Les deux amis hantés par le souvenir de la perte trouveront-ils une issue à ce cauchemar ? Ou alors seront-ils laissés à l'abandon, à devoir attendre et se cacher dans les rues où ils vivaient autrefois paisiblement ?

Director's Notes
"Perfumed with Mint" is about two friends who are tragically trapped in a survival conundrum. It is of people who are cursed with exile and sentenced to live in the shadows, and their desperate trials in returning to places and memories they were expelled from. They represent a generation that is contaminated with doubts about what awaits them - this generates a fear that becomes a contagious illness among them. Paranoia does not demand context; it denounces itself by existing. This is a ghost story. However, the ghost isn't a spooky creature, moving through walls, but can be as delicate as a mint leaf. An uncanny world that allows excruciating emotions to rise again and expose their wounds.
