Collectif Faire-part is an ensemble of Belgian and Congolese filmmakers, consisting of Anne Reijniers (1992, Belgium), Paul Shemisi (1988, Democratic Republic of the Congo), Nizir Saleh (1987, Democratic Republic of the Congo) and Rob Jacobs (1989, Belgium). Together they aim to tell new stories about Kinshasa and Brussels, and the complex relations between the two. Founded in 2016, the group's complex collaboration has always been an important lens through which they try to understand the world. In recent years the collective of four has shape-shifted into a slightly larger group of regular collaborators between Belgium and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in which team composition and distribution of roles changes with each project. In Speech for a Melting Statue, they collaborated with Marie Paule Mugeni, who co-wrote and narrated the film's voiceover.
