Cette année, seul "L'Absence" (Mama Keïta) représente l'Afrique noire à la sélection de longs métrages Afrique-Asie, dominée par le cinéma japonais.
En compétition longs métrages : Ramata (Léandre André Baker) et Shirley Adams (Oliver Hermanus)

La sélection courts métrages Afrique-Asie comporte :
- Waramutseho, de Bernard Auguste Kouemo Yanghu,
- Saint Louis Blues (Transport en commun) de Dyana Gaye
- We Too Walked On The Moon (Nous aussi avons marché sur la lune) de Balufu Bakupa-Kanyinda.

La sélection documentaires Afrique-Asie comporte :
- Lieux saint (Jean-Marie Teno)
- Mère-Bi (William Mbaye)

La sélection documentaires arabes comporte :
- Mother Unknown (Taghreed Elsanhouri, Soudan)
- Garbage Dreams (Mai Iskander, Egypte)
- In Pieces (Hakim Belabbès, Maroc)
- The Blast of Shame (Djamel Ouhab, Algérie)
Les nuits arabes montreront "Un prophète" (Jacques Audiard) et "Les Barons" (Nabil Ben Yadir).
