The Annual Mashariki African Film festival will be held from 24th -31st March 2017 under the Theme "My Story, My passion, My Journey".

The geography of film entries goes beyond Rwanda; it includes countries from almost all continents! We search; we find and help young talents to occupy a fitting place in contemporary cinema process.

The screenings will take place in the capital city Kigali. After every screening a Q&A or a panel discussion will take place if the director of the film is in the house. A press conference with the directors will also take place a day after their film screening.

Pannel Discussion at Goethe Institut on "African Cinema". Conducted by Barlet Olivier (Cultural Journalist), John Kwezi (Rwanda Film Federation) and Nelly (Kenya Film Classification Board).
