Jane Gillooly est une éducatrice, réalisatrice, productrice indépendante vivant à Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA).

Son plus récent film documentaire est TODAY THE HAWK TAKES ONE CHICK ("Aujourd'hui le faucon a pris un poulet", 2007-2008), un film d'observation tourné dans la campane de Swaziland. Elle a été nominé au Rockefeller pour le scénario de son long métrae expérimental "The Not Dead Yet Club" ("Le Club des pas encore morts", 2006). "Dragonflies, The Baby Cries" (2000) dont la première s'est déroulée au Film Society of Lincoln Center, et figure dans la sléection officielle du San Francisco International Film Festival, Contemporary Film Festival of Mexico City, PBS et SUNDANCE Channels. Elle est aussi co-productrice de "Theme: Murder" (1998), sélectionné pour être projeté au Full Frame Documentary Festival, et à INPUT. Son film "Leona's Sister Gerri" (1995) a été présenté au Museum of Modern Art New Directors, New Films, Robert Flaherty Seminar, PBS, et le SUNDANCE Channel et récemment inclus dans le Best of P.O.V. released 2007. Stagiaire à MacDowell, Gillooly est une professeur de cinéma à l'Ecole du Musée des Beaux Arts.

AUTRES FILMS :
"Dragonflies, The Baby Cries", a 35mm award winning short premiered with the Film Society at Lincoln Center in NYC. The short is currently on tour with the Alloy Orchestra who perform a live score to the film.

"Theme: Murder" (1998), was co-produced and co-written with director Martha Swetzoff. The film was selected to represent the United States at INPUT, the International Public Television conference.

Gillooly is also the Director/Producer of "Leona's Sister Gerri" (1994) the critically acclaimed documentary produced for PBS for national broadcast through the Independent Television Service. Included in the 2007 release of the Best Of P.O.V.

Gillooly has a background in photography, design and interdisciplinary media. She is a professor of Film at the School of The Museum of Fine Arts.
