The fifth edition of the International Rome Film Festival will be held from October 28 to November 5, 2010, at Rome's Auditorium Parco della Musica, the spectacular arts complex designed by world-famous architect Renzo Piano.

The festival will be occupying every free inch of this prestigious venue: the five theatres - Santa Cecilia, Sinopoli, Petrassi, Teatro Studio, and Studio 3 - will be reserved for screenings and encounters, while the Foyer, Auditorium Arte, Spazio Risonanze and the Museo Archeologico will host an array of other events.

During the Festival, the 1,300-sqm walkway that leads to the striking Cavea outside the Auditorium will be transformed into one of the biggest red carpets in the world, a unique walkway not only for international celebrities but also for festivalgoers, the true protagonists of the event. Facing the Auditorium, the Cinema Village is a 6,000-sqm complex purpose-built for the occasion, with temporary screening facilities and steel-and glass pavilions and stands that welcome festivalgoers.

The Village offers info points, ticket offices and a large food area - featuring a cafeteria, refreshment areas, pizzerias, and restaurants - as well as shops and themed areas dedicated to the Festival's sponsors.

And, as happens every year, the International Rome Film Festival's unique atmosphere will be contagious. The entire Eternal City will get in the act with a series of exciting film-related events that will be held in some of Rome's most iconic locations, hosted by its cultural institutions and various associations connected with the film industry.

The International Rome Film Festival is produced by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma: founding members are the City of Rome, Lazio Region, Province of Rome, Rome Chamber of Commerce and Fondazione Musica per Roma.
