The theme for the 4days of bumper and business filled content convention is" The Creative Industries; Nigeria's Untapped Wealth" The unprecedented growth of the audio-visual industry and the Telecommunications capacity in Africa especially in Nigeria, makes this years expo vital in view of the global transition to digital broadcast by 2015. The bobtv platform seeks to prepare Africa to address "The Content Question in a Digital Economy". Nigeria, through the Nollywood phenomenon has given Africa a new face and expression which needs to transform to true and tangible economic competitive advantage. Mindful of this for a solid foundation for further growth, BOBTV 2012 is structured to provide a multi-faceted platform for exhibition and market screening, capacity building, business networking, workshops and seminars.

Each year, BOBTV welcomes over 5,000 participants and visitors from Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world to its exhibitions and master classes. It also witnesses the participation of about 100 TV stations and radio stations, over 300 content makers and programmes developers, ancillary industries and top government and industry personalities.

BOBTV 2012 expects the participation of phone networks, digital broadcasters, ISP's, Broadband services, and DTT platforms.
