RESUME
In the early morning light, in the neighbourhood known as "Niayes Thiokeert", or "Partridge Hill", shots ring out. Naago falls the ground, riddled with bullets, in front of the neighbours, who have rushed to the scene. The woman whom everybody knows as "Madame Brouette" (Mrs Wheelbar-row) claims to have killed her husband. And yet everybody in the neighbourhood is full of praise for this young divorcee, a street vendor of fruit and vegetables and the mother of a little girl.
The film traces the story of Madame Brouette back in time to understand what could have led to such an act on her part.
