Soul Boy is an outstanding feature film and a Kenyan-German co-production shot in Kibera, Nairobi's renowned slum..
Abila, a 14-year-old boy sets out on an adventurous journey trying to save his father, who has gambled his soul away in the company of a spiritual woman.
His friend Shiku offers to help him find a cure from a witch-will they succeed?
The film aims to transform the mysteries and myths of this multi-faceted social microcosm into a modern fairytale story. One of the best films to come out of Kenya, Soul Boy has won numerous awards at international festivals.
